TRL/Link Crew Program fundraiser TODAY, at Rick’s Pizza.  Must have a flyer for 25% of your total purchase to go to the Lodi High TRL/Link Crew Program.  Flyers are available on the North Administration Office counter and in the Counseling Office.                                                       —Burton

Make-up P.E. will be held all this week. Students are to meet on the track at 2:20 p.m., dressed in their P.E. uniform. Students who have been in a swim block may swim for make-up P.E. Attendance must be cleared (all notes turned in) before we leave for our two-week break at the end of the monthJuniors and Seniors - Absences that have not been cleared will affect your off-campus cards for next quarter. Lodi High Bookmark Design Contest – Pick up a blank bookmark in the Library and start your design.  All bookmarks must say “Lodi High” on the top.  Winners will be announced on Friday, September 29.  1st Place - $25 Target gift card, 2nd and 3rd Place - $5 Starbuck’s gift card.                                                       —Foster

 

Community Advisory Committee Meeting – A meeting hosted by the Special Education Department on the topic Assistive Technology will be held on Wednesday, September 20, from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m., at the Lodi Unified School District, 1305 E. College & Career

 

College Spirit Day is every Wednesday.  Students and staff are encouraged to participate by wearing a shirt from any college, vocational school or branch of the military.                                                           Jauregui

 

 

Looking for money to help pay for college? Many scholarships are now available and some deadlines are in October. Log in to your Naviance Family Connection account, look for “scholarship list” and read the descriptions. Links to apply are included. Financial Aid Night will be held on Tuesday, September 19, at 6:30 p.m. Financial Aid officers from University of the Pacific will give an overview of how to apply for federal and state grants, loans and scholarships. Steps to complete the FAFSA or Dream Act will be explained. This event is held every year to provide an opportunity to learn about the financial aid process. Seniors and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend. English session will be in the Cafeteria; Spanish session will be in the Library.                                                                                                                                                                    Jauregui

 

A free informational meeting to assist our students with the  DACA renewal process will be held on Thursday, September 21. An immigration attorney (and Lodi High graduate) will explain the process and answer questions in the Career Center during 3rd period. PSAT – Taking the PSAT will allow students to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program for recognition and scholarships.  The PSAT/NMSQT will be offered for grades 9-11 at Lodi High on Wednesday, October 25, periods 1-6.  This is a Common Planning Day.  Registration runs now through September 28.  The cost is $16 cash or check payable to “Lodi High PSAT.”  Pay at the fee window, during lunch or after school only.  There is no make-up test.  There are 212 tests and 30 fee waivers for eligible juniors.  See Mrs. Hausauer, in the Counseling office, for eligibility of fee waiver.                            —Cortez

 

September 22 is the deadline to sign up for the October 28 ACT Test at Tokay High School.

October 5 is the deadline to sign up for the November 4 SAT & SAT Subject Test.

Fee waivers are available to students enrolled in AVID or the lunch program.  Stop by the Career Center to apply for a fee waiver or pick up registration materials.                                                                     —Jauregui
