Delta College Dual Enrollment

The Dual Enrollment Program - offered to High School students in the San Joaquin and Calaveras Counties - provides FREE college level courses in both the Transfer and Career Pathways allowing high school students to get a jump start on their college education by taking college credited course while still in high school.

1.  Delta College online application

2.  After 2 days, log back in to Delta College to retrieve your Delta ID# 

2.  Fill out college early start form and turn in to Mrs. Casillas

3.  Fill out governors bog fee waiver

4.  Sign up to take assessment test. (Must have reading level of II for Nutrition Class)

5.  Optional (online college orientation)

 

 

 

Fall 2017 Course

FCS 006 - Nutrition - Units 3

 

Prerequisite Skills: 1. Reading level II.

 

This course is a study of nutrition as a science and its application to human health and disease. The course provides an introduction to the roles of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, vitamins, and water in human nutrition. The course also includes an individual dietary study and evaluation based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.(UC, CSU)

Introduction to Psychology - Units 3 Prerequisite Skills: 1. Reading level II. Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. The content focuses on the exploration of major psychological theories and concepts, methods, and research findings in psychology. Topics include the biological bases of behavior, perception, cognition and consciousness, learning, memory, emotion, motivation, development, personality, social psychology, psychological disorders and therapeutic approaches, and applied psychology.
