Attention Parents, we want you all to be aware of a recent policy update. Effective Tuesday, Sept. 5, Lodi High School will NO longer accept student LUNCHES, dropped off for delivery. Due to reasons related to student safety, LUSD nutritional guidelines, and limited office resources, LHS office staff will no longer assist in the delivery of lunches brought to school by parents, relatives, friends or fast-food outlets. Thank you, from the Administration.

Lodi High Athletics will be offering Sport Physicals on Thurs., Aug. 3, from 4 – 8 p.m., in the South Gym. Spanish translation available. Cost is $20. Athletes need to pick up a blue physicians form in the Athletic Office. We will also have chromebooks available for the online athletic clearance. Appointments can be made in the Athletic Office, but due to the short notice, walk-ins welcome.

Prom Bids will be sold at the North Administration office windows for the discounted price of $55, Tuesday, March 14 through Friday, March 17.  Price will then go to $65. Make checks payable to Lodi High School. ALL FEES MUST BE CLEARED TO BUY YOUR BID. You do not have to know who you are going with yet, that can be filled in later. If you intend to bring a NON Lodi High guest, a Guest Contract needs to be filled out and returned to the North Administration office no later than April 19. They are available in the North Administration office.

Congratulations to the Lodi FFA Farm Power Team for placing 1st at the Arbuckle FFA Field Day.  The competition consisted of thirty-five teams and eighty-seven contestants.  Chantz Granlees was high individual and Trevor Granlees placed eleventh.  John Herdzfelt, Alec Dozio and Caden Hansen rounded out the team.  They competed in mechanical troubleshooting, machinery operations, and equipment ID.

If you have students interested in Filming, Digital Film making, and/or a career in Film there will be a meeting to present a program that will take place over spring break. Joey Travolta, older brother of John Travolta, will—through his Inclusion Films project--be creating a STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics) commercial that will air on television, possibly CBS. This opportunity is offered to ALL LHS students.

Water Quality Workshop - Come join the Science Club and take a closer look at water quality. We will be conducting water quality tests using an actual real world lab test with an organism called ceriodaphnia. These little organisms are used to determine water quality and you have an opportunity to participate in this activity. Dates are as follows: January 30, 31 and February 2, from 3 to 5 p.m., in Room 72. You must sign-up beforehand to participate in this workshop. Sign-up in Room 72.

Lodi High Career Center will host an SAT – ACT Combo Prep Class to help our students prepare for the SAT and ACT college entrance exams. This class will cover strategies and test-taking tips for both exams, saving our families money and time and helping students decide which test is better for them.

The FREE Student Financial Aid & College Awareness Workshop, sponsored by the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will be on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the The Pacific (UOP). There will be College Preparation Workshops for grades 6-12, and their families. The Lodi-Tokay HS Bands will be hosting its’ 39th Grape Bowl Classic Band Review this Saturday, November 5th. We kick off with JAZZ  performances in the MPR of Lawrence Elementary School at 7:30 a.m.; PARADE: 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in front of the Grape Bowl off of Stockton St.; Lodi CHOIR: National Anthem at 2:30 p.m. in the Grape Bowl; and (FIELD 2:30 p.m.-8 p.m.). Lodi HS Band & Color Guard at 2:30 p.m. in the Grape Bowl for Field show performances. Something special and NEW this year, the Sac State Marching Band will be doing an exhibition performance and our band will be showcasing their BRAND NEW UNIFORMS!!!! $10 field admission. 10 and younger FREE.

A Night in Wonderland Pigskin Dance will be on Saturday, November 12.  Regular bid sales are October 25 - November 10, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., at Hutchins Street Square. Price is $55 cash only. Student ID required. Bring 2 canned food items and receive $5 off bid price.

Womble Rumble on Saturday, November 19, at Lodi Lake.  5K |10K | Kids ½ Mile and 1 Mile Run. Proceeds from the race will go towards to the Lodi High Track and Field Program and the Lodi Track Club. Registration forms are available on the counter in the North Administration Office or online at www.onyourmarkevents.com   Must register by November 9.

Drama Club will be having their first Improv Night on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m., in the Theatre. Brought to you by our Competitive Improv Team. Tickets are $5 at the door. Doors open at 6:30. Come for an evening of hilarious improvisation games!

Most colleges require applicants to submit SAT scores.  The PSAT is a way for students to practice the same types of questions and to learn about those broad areas that they could improve.  Registration begins Sep 7 and ends Sep 28.  It is open to all students except Seniors.  Space is limited, so register now!
