Counselors

LODI HIGH Counseling Office

School counselors support all students in developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to achieve academic success, college and career readiness, and social/emotional development. Counselors work closely with students, teachers, administrators, and parents to create an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and equipped to succeed. Counselors advocate for students to ensure student's needs are being met, and that all students have access to academic and extracurricular opportunities. 

School counselors provide support services in the following areas: Academic, College and Career, and Social Emotional Development. Here are some of the ways school counselors assist students:

Social & Emotional Development

  • Consultation and Counseling (short-term)
  • Problem Solving, Decision Making, Conflict Resolution
  • Immediate Crises Counseling
  • Referrals to Mental health Resources
